Kara Pelecky is the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at ABS, based in the corporate headquarters in Houston, Texas.

Kara is a highly experienced and accomplished technology executive and business transformation specialist. She has experience leading in complex, multicultural environments and has successfully delivered multi-million-dollar projects and initiatives. She is passionate about ensuring a positive and empowering approach in the areas she leads.

Prior to ABS, Kara was the Global CIO at Stanley Security, a $2 billion subsidiary of Stanley Black & Decker and the second largest global commercial security provider. While at Stanley, Kara oversaw a complete transformation of their IT delivery, resulting in the development of new organizational capabilities, processes, deeper relationships and more collaboration.

Prior to Stanley Security, Kara was the Vice President and CIO for Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) in Abu Dhabi, where she was responsible for defining, sourcing and operating their IT and communications function as part of the first-ever regional initiation of nuclear power.

Kara graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University and earned a Master of Business Administration with distinction from DePaul University. She is married with four adult children and enjoys horseback riding, watersports, and family trips across the globe.
